In this article, we are going to explore key features of Microsoft Teams and share tips to help organizations and their employees keep up productivity levels.
Whether encouraging or mandating remote working, firms must resonate with employees to keep the following two factors for successful remote collaboration continuous:
- Knowledge sharing
This is where Microsoft Teams comes in. Microsoft Teams is a unified communication and collaboration platform combining workplace chat, video meetings, file storage, and application integration all in one place.
Microsoft Teams: Leveraging the New Features
Microsoft recently released some new features to improve remote collaboration as businesses and schools around the world prioritize remote work for the safety and well-being of their employees and students.
New Microsoft Features
Microsoft has increased the number of participants who can be viewed simultaneously on the Teams meeting stage from 4 to 9. This new experience optimizes for attendees who have enabled video and places the remaining audio-only participants below the meeting stage.
Participants can also now "raise hands" to identify that they wish to speak.
A long and anticipated feature that Microsoft has implemented is the use of background effects. Attendees can now customize their video background from pre-selected images. Attendees also have the option to blur the background.
For the IT Admins out there, you are now able to see a "Meetings Dashboard" to help you ensure that you users have the best experience possible during meetings and calls. IT Admins can also control profile picture settings and more.
