7 Tips to Keep and Create Safe Passwords (Tech Tips Video)

We're back with another Tech Tip video! 

This time, we're tackling the subject of password security. Think your passwords are strong? Watch the video below and see if they meet these seven criteria. 

Don't have time to watch the full video? Here's a rundown of our seven tips to keeping and creating safe passwords: 

1. Passwords are essential. Just be sure to say no to sticky notes and under-the-keyboard reminders. 

2. Require complex passwords. And don't allow users to re-use old ones. 

3. Don't change your password before leaving for vacation (or on a Friday). You might not remember it come Monday. 

4. Passwords should be easy for you to remember, but hard for others to guess. Sounds simple, right? 

5. Avoid using personal information such as birthdates, kids' names, etc. 

6. Don't use the same password for all accounts.

7. Change your password often - at least every 30-90 days.
