Industry Experts to Discuss the Investment, Legal and Technology Aspects of Launching a Fund

The webinar will occur on Tuesday May, 20, at 1:30 p.m. ET.
Attendees of the webinar will learn about the many aspects to consider when launching up a fund – including raising capital, identifying a prime broker, legal obligations and implications and technology support.
Who: Cary Goldstein, director at Merrill Lynch; Jay B. Gould, partner with Pillsbury Winthrop Pittman Shaw LLP; and Mark Kenney, product manager at Eze Castle.
- Cary Goldstein of Merrill Lynch will provide an overview of everything a hedge fund manager should expect when launching a fund, including operational, administrative, and technology infrastructure challenges. As an advisor to hedge fund clients, Goldstein will discuss the process of launching a hedge fund and share case study examples to serve as best practices.
- Jay B. Gould of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP will speak to the many legal issues involved with launching a hedge fund, including selecting an attorney, determining fund structure and jurisdiction, fee structure and flow, legal documents, and marketing/communications with potential investors.
- Mark Kenney of Eze Castle Integration will discuss major technology considerations – specifically, how best to implement and design a highly secure and efficient office infrastructure, which can be a daunting project for a small fund that is just getting started.
