Position: Software Engineer

This position is currently open in our Boston location.

We are looking for a Software engineer with experience working with the Microsoft suite of products and services. Candidates must be hands-on, team-oriented and willing to exceed expectations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Active role in the design, build and testing of the core products and solutions provided
  • Support existing technology platform: software code, reporting and enhancements                                

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of progressive programming experience with knowledge of Financial Services
  • Experience working with Microsoft programming languages ASP.NET, C#, LINQ, and VBA
  • Experience with MS SQL Server database design, stored procedures 
  • Experience with MS SharePoint Server MOSS 2007, Windows Server 2008 and Virtual Server
  • Familiarity with source code control systems and software versioning tools
  • BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent

Desired Skills:

  • Financial Services, Investment Management industry experience
  • Experience with MS SharePoint Server MOSS 2007, Windows Server 2008
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel formulas and integration options
  • Willingness to travel

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to work in an independent environment with moderate supervision.
  • Ability to work under a moderate noise level (i.e., working on an open floor with printers, telephones, and computers).
  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines (including late nights and weekends).
  • Ability to travel for business and work beyond normal business hours when necessary.
  • Ability to be flexible and successfully respond to multiple work pressures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines (including late nights and weekends).
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components.
  • Willing to work extra hours as needed.
