Position: Sales Associate

This position is currently open in our London, UK location.

The Sales Associate is responsible for helping us grow our business in the London market. The company has continued to enjoy significant growth across all regions and anticipates enormous growth from the London region. The ideal candidate will have experience selling into the financial services market – specifically with hedge funds would be a plus. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of cold-calling prospective Clients, Partners and Vendors to educate them about our industry leading solutions and must be a self starter capable of expanding a new territory with local management oversight. This position will be challenging and educational as well as having excellent earning and career potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively prospect new opportunities within the financial services market including broker-dealers, hedge funds, fund-of-funds and asset managers.
  • Present ECI products and services to all levels and position the benefits of each, depending upon the audience.
  • Ability to understand the business challenges the prospect faces and effectively position ECI’s solution(s) and/or partners.
  • Work as a team player and keep open lines of communication with the service delivery team to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Create and maintain sales funnel, monthly prospecting reports, and forecasts.
  • Maintain client interaction using ECI’s CRM solution – salesforce.com.
  • Work closely with marketing team to effectively execute marketing initiatives
  • Effectively convey the company’s products and services to prospects via cold calling
  • Identify, qualify and set appointments within our target market to help achieve financial quotas set by the business
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual meeting quota set by sales management
  • Support UK Sales Manager in all New Business activities

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years inside sales experience with a successful track record in B2B lead generation and business development. Knowledge of marketing a plus
  • Educated to degree level in business related studies, computer science or related fields
  • Proven understanding of selling technology solutions.
  • Strong lead networking/prospecting experience.
  • Specific experience selling to financial services is a must – hedge fund experience a plus
  • Maturity and professionalism.
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM tool.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Highly self motivated and directed
  • Capable of multitasking in a high pace environment, effectively and efficiently.
  • Client Service focused
