Position: Application Services Director
This position is currently open in our New York location.
The Application Services Director leads and manages Information Application Services. By providing high-level technical leadership and collaborative management, the director works to achieve a distributed computing and information architecture. Furthermore, the director enhances user services/functions, builds strong client relationships and aligns departmental priorities, strategies, and resources.
Qualified candidates possess 7-10 years experience in the following areas: strategic planning, change management, application development across multiple platforms/methodologies, successful management of large-scale projects, advocacy of critical business requirements, and enabling business process improvement and culture change. Candidates must demonstrate significant experience in managing long-term client relationships, proactive and collaborative problem resolution, building consensus among various departments and regions, and forging strong project and management teams. Candidates are expected to be familiar with the integration services industry including its culture and trends.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures development and service delivery of all products, services, and resources within the organizational infrastructure. This includes responsibility for ensuring the appropriate level of support for the ongoing functionality of the systems.
- Maintains a leadership role in setting service direction and ensures standards and policies are maintained and compatible with Eze Castle Integration's standard information systems architecture, tools, policies and procedures.
- Maintains responsibility for the coordination and development of organization-level software application capabilities. This includes coordinating product specifications, development, training and installation timeliness and appropriate testing mechanisms.
- Ensures that all information systems and networks operate according to internal standards, external accrediting agency standards, regulatory agencies and legal requirements
- Coordinates and manages reporting needs and data analysis for the organization. Ensures that the gathering, processing, distribution and use of pertinent information required by management to make decisions occur in a timely, accurate and cost effective manner.
- Supervises the development and maintenance of user documentation, including complete user manuals, FAQs and help files.
- Communicates IS/IT plans, policies and technology trends throughout the organization, including management groups and professional staff.
- Develops, implements, and maintains comprehensive end user training program. Provide directly or arrange new user training and advanced training for existing users. Updates documentation and on-line help facilities.
- Leads personnel management activities in his/her team, including performance management and career development activities.
- As a member of the IT management team, is responsible for participating in the development and implementation of the Information Services Strategic Plan
- Participates in activities to improve departmental and organizational performance. Develops benchmark measures to evaluate productivity within Application Services
- Fosters increased application standardization and utilization across the organization.
- Identifies possible training and system enhancements. Establishes and manages organization application tracking metrics and dashboard reports to track application usage, compliance and client satisfaction
- Interacts with corporate, regional and location level leadership teams, as needed, in relationship to technical and customer support issues
- Utilizes strong communication and management skills to manage technical and business relationships in an application support environment that includes non-IT/IS departments
Requirements:
- Minimum of five or more years in an IT environment with increasing responsibilities for management and support of enterprise information systems and information technology, direct management of a major IT/IS operation is preferred. Significant experience in enterprise level application support is desirable, specifically in technology and information systems planning to support business goals. Experience should also include both shared and outsourced solutions, as well as support of in-hours information and communication system in a multi-site client-server and managed services environment. Specifically experience with a CRM application (i.e. Sales Force/SalesLogix/Act) is a plus.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience. A Masters degree (MBA) in MIS, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or related field is highly preferred.
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Familiarity with desktop, notebook, handheld, and server computer hardware.
- Familiarity with local and wide network design, implementation, and operation.
- Expertise in various office productivity software programs such as word processing, databases, spreadsheet programs, and communications software.
- Working knowledge of business processes and their interrelationship gained through three or more years of related experience.
- Direct IT project management experience.
- Demonstrated direct supervision and staff development experience.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Superior verbal and written communications skills, effective presentation skills, and collaboration skills, all geared toward coordination and education.
- Ability to negotiate and defuse conflict.
- Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
