Bob Guilbert, Managing Director of Marketing & Products, Eze Castle Integration
With more than 25 years of IT experience, Bob Guilbert is responsible for leading all of Eze Castle Integration’s marketing, partnership and product development functions. The scope of his efforts ranges from maximising the value of the company’s brand, establishing core strategic partnerships, and developing new product lines for the company. Prior to joining Eze Castle in 2005, Mr. Guilbert was vice president of business development at Virtual Iron Software—a venture-backed start-up offering enterprise-class data centre virtualisation software. At Virtual Iron, he developed and oversaw all facets of business development and channel management.
Mr. Guilbert has also held senior marketing and business development positions at Double-Take Software (formerly NSI), EMC Corporation, and Digital Equipment Corporation. He is fluent in German and graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science.
Dean Hill, Executive Director, Eze Castle Integration
Dean Hill is Executive Director of Eze Castle Integration UK and also leads the International New business teams in London and Asia. Dean’s career in technology started with one of the UK’s largest telecoms providers where he held numerous positions from engineering to business development and account management. With overall management responsibility in the UK, Dean is able to provide clients with swift decision making powers to further improve on the high service levels seen by Eze Castle’s clients. Prior to joining Eze Castle, Dean held a senior position consulting Tier 1 financial clients on the Cisco Unified Communications suite of products and professional services.
Dean holds a number of industry specific certifications for technologies such as Cisco, Avaya, and NetApp.
J. Paul Haynes, CEO, eSentire
Mr. Haynes is a serial entrepreneur, who started his first company when he was completing his Masters. He joined eSentire in 2010 to bring his business growth, sales and marketing expertise to the organisation. Under his leadership the firm has tripled in size and now is the primary security organisation for a combined $1.2 trillion in AuM in the alternate asset management space. Mr. Haynes often speaks to executives and is able to bridge complex technical issues to the enterprise security risks asset managers must mitigate.
Over the past 20 years prior to eSentire, he has started, financed and successfully sold a number of enterprise software businesses in sectors including energy, government, healthcare and engineering. Mr. Haynes is a professional engineer and holds a Masters in Engineering and sits on several Boards of Directors.
James Cotter, Partner, Simmons & Simmons
James is a partner in the Information, Communications & Technology group at Simmons & Simmons in London. He specializes in outsourcing and ICT procurement transactions with a particular focus on the financial services and asset management sectors. James acts for customers and suppliers in relation to these types of transactions and therefore is accustomed to advising clients on relevant commercial, legal risk and regulatory (including data protection and financial services regulation) issues from all angles.
He frequently advises clients on transactions for cloud based services.
Mario Orphanou, Product Manager, Markit
As product manager of Collaboration Services, Mario Orphanou has been instrumental in the development of Markit Collaboration Services, an open cross-industry network for the financial services industry. He has over 25 years of experience in financial services, specialising in collaboration (messaging & federation), enterprise data management, market data integration & distribution (financial research, identity, market and reference data), and Software as a Service (SaaS) initiatives.
Mario joined Markit in 2009, and has benefited from a unique 360 degree view of the industry having previously worked for sell side and buy side institutions, data vendors, market regulators, and financial services software vendors in both full time and consulting capacities. Whilst working for software vendors, he worked on market data integration and EDM implementation projects for over 50 companies across North America, Europe and Asia.
Maryum Malik, Head of Sales, SGN, EMEA, SunGard
Maryum Malik is the Head of Sales for SunGard Brokerage. Based in the Canary Wharf, London offices, she will lead the sales efforts for SunGard’s SGN Short-Term Cash Management Portal. This role includes managing the client relationships with over 100 international clients, the interaction with 25+ offshore money market fund providers, as well as establishing new clients/investors.
Prior to joining SunGard, Maryum served as a director at Sector Treasury Services LTD (part of the Capita Group) in the UK. Maryum was the head of Sector’s recently launched Private Sector Advisory Division and prior to that was a Client Relationship Manager for over 45 UK Local Authorities since 2000. In addition to direct treasury advisory, Maryum had a wide ranging role that covered the direct day-to-day relationships with the Institutional Money Market Fund providers, banks, rating agencies and key strategic partnerships, such as SunGard. Maryum also chaired Sector’s Interest Rate Strategy Group which formulated the investment forecast and strategies for all Sector clients. Maryum holds a BA of Law and Business Studies and a Masters in Managerial Economics from Durham University in the UK.
Omar Dapul, Director, EMEA, Black Mountain Systems
Omar Dapul is Director, EMEA, of London’s Black Mountain systems, a software company that develops innovative, tailored solutions for global investment firms seeking greater operating efficiency and reduced risk. Omar has over 15 years of experience in global business transformation via software and systems and leads Black Mountain Systems' expansion into the international market. Having opened the London office in 2011, Omar oversees business development, new client implementations, client relationships, and operations.
Prior to Black Mountain Systems, Omar worked on global software implementation programmes for Accenture, CHP Consulting, Sony Europe, and Procter & Gamble. He is also a PMI Project Management Professional, holds a BSc.(Hons) in Information Technology, and has lived and worked in four continents.
Peter Hughes, Chief Executive and Founder, Apex Fund Services Ltd

Simon Eyre, Director of Service, Eze Castle Integration
Simon Eyre is Director of Service in the London office of Eze Castle Integration, a global provider of private cloud and IT services to the alternative investment management industry. With over 15 years’ experience in the IT industry, Simon is responsible for the delivery of all services within the UK for Eze Castle Integration. His scope is both technical and non-technical – including delivery of cloud, network and storage products, client relations as well as the hiring, management and training for all IT staff. Simon is into his 11th year with Eze Castle Integration and was instrumental in their first multi-tenant environment in New York and the opening and success of the company’s London operations.
He previously worked for a Federal Business providing them with the necessary experience to transition from a UNIX to Wintel platform. Simon has lived in both US and UK and attended Rutgers and NJIT Universities for his BSc in Electrical Engineering.
Stephen Van Den Berg, Associate Director of Client Services, Eze Castle Integration
Stephen is an Associate Director of Client Services at Eze Castle Integration’s London office. Stephen has over 13 years of experience within the IT industry, with 8 years spent in the hedge fund and alternative investment space. Stephen is responsible for managing a team of engineers and client relationship managers, ensuring all client expectations are exceed and deliverables are met. Stephen has previously worked as an onsite engineer for Davidson Kempner European Partners, a client technology manager at Eze Castle Integration before being promoted to an associated director of client services in July 2013.
Stuart Field, Associate Director of Institutional Sales, Eze Software Group
Stuart is Associate Director of Institutional Sales for Eze Software Group, a premier provider of global, multi-asset class investment technology to support the front, middle and back office.
Stuart joined Eze Software 4 years ago and has over 10 years of experience in the financial software industry. He has a background across trading, compliance, order management, portfolio management and accounting technology, and has dealt with both onsite and SaaS-delivered solutions. Stuart previously held commercial and management positions with Linedata, Reuters and LexisNexis. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Technology Management.
Vinod Paul, Managing Director of Service & Business Development, Eze Castle Integration
Leading a talented team of customer service and engineering professionals, Vinod Paul oversees all customer-facing engagements for Eze Castle Integration. Vinod joined the company in 2002, and his responsibilities include service delivery and business development for the firm. Previously, Vinod was the director of technical services for Martin Progressive, supervising a staff that supported 6,000 customers. Prior to that, he provided project management and engineering consulting services to IBM Global Services, Lucent Technologies, Tyco Submarine Systems, and Penguin Putnam Publishing.
Vinod is a member of the Hedge Funds Care East Coast Committee of Hearts and founder of the New York Hedge Fund Technologists Group. He is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences. He also holds numerous advanced certifications with Microsoft.
